How CNC Milling Works?

CNC milling is an advanced manufacturing technique that removes material from a workpiece using rotating cutting tools. The process starts with a digital design, usually made in CAD software. This design is then transformed into a CNC program that guides the milling machine's movements.

The workpiece is firmly secured to the machine's table, while the cutting tool, which is mounted on a spindle, spins at high speeds. The machine follows the instructions in the program, making precise cuts to shape the material into the required form. CNC milling can produce detailed shapes and features, such as slots, holes, and contours, with great precision.

Three-axis milling involves moving the tool along the X, Y, and Z axes. Four-axis milling adds the ability to rotate around one axis, while five-axis milling enables rotation around two axes, allowing for more complex designs. This adaptability makes CNC milling indispensable across various industries, from aerospace to medical device manufacturing

5-Axis CNC Milling
5-Axis CNC Machining

What is 5-Axis Machining? Welcome to 5-Axis CNC Machining   When someone uses the term “5-axis” they are typically referring to the ability of a CNC machine to move a part or a tool on five different CNC axes at the same time. 3-axis machining centers move a part in two directions (X and Y), and the tool moves up and down (Z). 5-axis CNC machining centers can rotate on two additional rotary axes (A and B), which help the cutting tool approach the part from all directions.

Injection Molding services
Injection Molding

What is Injection molding? Injection molding is a process that shapes parts by injecting molten material into a mold. While commonly used for plastics, it can also process metals, glasses, and elastomers. The material is melted and injected under pressure into the mold, where it cools and solidifies. Once hardened, the mold is opened to release the finished part. This method is ideal for producing high volumes of identical, precise parts with complex shapes and smooth surfaces, making it both efficient and cost-effective for mass production

3D Printing services
3D Printing

What’s 3D Printing? 3D printing, also referred to as additive manufacturing, is a groundbreaking technique that fabricates three-dimensional objects using digital designs. This innovative process builds objects layer by layer, gradually constructing the final product. Unlike conventional manufacturing approaches that often involve removing material from a larger source, 3D printing enables the production of intricate designs and complex structures with minimal material wastage. It finds applications across diverse industries, from rapid prototyping and product innovation to medical implants and aerospace parts. With its ability to customize objects, streamline production timelines, and optimize costs, 3D printing has become an indispensable tool in the realm of modern

Custom Sheet Metal Fabrication Service
Sheet Metal Fabrication

What is Sheet Metal Fabrication?   Sheet metal fabrication is the process of turning flat sheets of steel or aluminium into metal structures or products, by cutting, punching, folding and assembling. Sheet metal can be cut, bent or stretched into nearly any shape, which is generally done by cutting and burning the metal.

Die Casting services
Die Casting

What is Die Casting? Die casting is a highly efficient process for manufacturing detailed metal parts in large quantities. Specialized molds, called dies, produce multiple parts simultaneously, ensuring efficiency and consistency. Die casting involves melting the metal, injecting it under high pressure into the molds, and rapidly cooling it to capture intricate designs. At Craft, we review each die casting project to meet your specific requirements. Our advanced casting techniques and precision machines optimize production flow and deliver durable and aesthetically pleasing parts.
